And did you know that Martelo Hebreu, an ordained member of the United Church of Life, officiated the ceremony? He's doing Angola and Jenny's next. Book him now before his rates go up! Did you also know that Elonga made her headdress herself? Yep... I believe it took in the neighborhood of 60 hours to sew all the beadwork together.<br /><br />Other cool things from the wedding: The wedding cake was three tiers of Voodoo Donuts. Contra Mestre Lengua showed up to play berimbau (I know!). It was held on the roof of a parking garage downtown. The couple met in a capoeira roda, so they had a roda at the wedding.<br /><br />We're all so excited for you both. Mestre Almiro has introduced a new twist to class, with the second (intermediate/advanced) class starting immediately after the beginner classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which allows for a longer class and the inclusion of 15 minutes of music at the end of every class!<br /><br />Saturdays are now mostly Roda Skills and game playing.
